Cookie notice
Last updated 29 August 2026 · Version 1.0
This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising scripts, no embedded third-party content, and no fingerprinting. That is why you were not asked to accept anything when you arrived.
Why there is no cookie banner. A banner exists to obtain consent for non-essential cookies. We set none, so there is nothing to consent to. We would rather remove the tracking than ask you to click through a notice about it.
What this website does
| Behaviour | Status |
|---|---|
| Cookies, of any kind | None |
| Local storage / session storage | Not used |
| Analytics (Google Analytics or otherwise) | None |
| Advertising or remarketing tags | None |
| Social media buttons or embeds | None |
| Embedded video or third-party iframes | None |
| Externally hosted fonts | None — the site uses the fonts already on your device |
| JavaScript | None. The site is plain HTML and CSS. |
| Requests to any other domain | None |
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, as a normal part of serving and protecting a website. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you or to track you across sites.
What the GradeLens app stores on your device
The app is not a website and does not use cookies, but it does store some things locally so it can work. None of it is tracking:
| What | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in tokens | iOS Keychain / Android Keystore | So you stay signed in without re-entering your password. Held in the operating system's secure storage, not ordinary app storage. |
| A cached copy of your own data | App storage | So screens load instantly and the app degrades gracefully on a poor connection. |
| Your app preferences | App storage | Remembering your settings between launches. |
All of this is removed when you delete the app, and your server-side data is removed when you delete your account.
Do Not Track
Because we do not track you in the first place, a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal requires no change in our behaviour. We honour it by default.
If this changes
If we ever add something that sets a non-essential cookie, we will update this notice and ask for your consent before it runs — not after.
More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
